If you listen to her music you know her music isn’t the type of music that makes you want to fight anyone. Obviously everyone’s different buuuut Her subjects is usually sex, being a bad bitch, mental health, being rich etc. while her music does empower me it definitely does not make me want to incite violence. That is where the micro aggression lies. I can envision Hannah never hearing a Megan song and piecing together that a black women rapping is comparative to wanting to fight. City Girls or GloRilla’s music I could maybe see . But Megan is just having fun. She even has lyrics where she states she DOESN’T fight.

2025-08-20 18:23:42 +0000 UTCI think the fact that she felt comfortable going on and on, taking up space while silencing Megan, says a lot about how at home she feels in a white-coded space. White people don’t need to frame themselves as “empowered” by POC experiences; especially when those experiences involve abuse and tap into racist stereotypes of aggression and “fighting.” Saying she listens to Megan when she wants to “fight” only reinforces those harmful tropes. It’s giving “I’m allowing you to be here because you inspire me,” which is just… icky. Sometimes the right thing is to shut up, hand over the mic, and just say you’re a fan.

2025-08-14 02:33:15 +0000 UTCI mean Hiss was pretty aggressive. I mean it's a diss track, it needs to be. And honestly that's okay. There's nothing wrong with aggression. That's basically the premise of this podcast. And if MTS wants to be aggressive with her music, that's within her agency. And if she feels bothered by it, I have no doubt she can correct the behavior in real time. Like on the scale of micro aggressions, it's definitely on the micro side.
