Just wanted to let it be known that Remmick (the vamp) didn’t seek them out bc he had some type of “kinship” with them, he sought them out bc he heard Sammie’s voice and seen what power Sammie wields - the ability to transcend time through music. In that scene where he performs I lied to you in the juke joint you see a bunch of “random” black people dancing too, (eg. the girls twerking in the kitchen, traditional Yoruba dancers with the mask, etc.) those were descendants/ancestors that were visible due to Sammie able to tap into the timeline using his voice. Remmick was lonely, he missed being able to be around his people, he wanted Sammie’s gift so he can see his people again.

I just wonder why almost every time these conversations happen, about cultural appropriation, and accents, and taking from a culture… it’s black people. Why is it that there’s no other race that gets their accent adopted so quickly/easily?
