2025-03-28 14:11:44 +0000 UTCno no pause cut 🎬 🛑 we need to stop this ‘i’m sensitive’ self blame talk for people who speak up for themselves. you’re not “too” sensitive. you’ve just been conditioned to THINK you’re too sensitive/too much/too emotional by people who don’t care about your feelings & severely lack true emotional intelligence- which sadly is a lot of people. how is it ‘too sensitive’ when your closest friends (who KNEW!! you were pouring your heart and soul into your *first* ever book) don’t read (a SHORT) book that you spent YEARS writing. who’s feelings wouldn’t be hurt by that wth⁉️ and ‘that wasn’t my intention’ & ‘your feelings are valid’ are **NOT** real apologies. this is what it sounds like when narcissists/people with little to no empathy weaponize therapy speech. monet has been like this for years and sadly nothing has changed (unless she acts completely different offline- i hope so). why not say ‘i’m sorry. i know you spent a lot of time working on this book i just have not been in the mood to read’ or ‘i know you worked hard on this. the topic doesn’t interest me so i won’t read it but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good book. you are amazingly talented and the world will love it’ or hell ‘i know you worked on this for a while. because i love and support you, i will make time to read the book.’ (but then actually read it because a real apology needs changed behavior). bob would never do this to monet, she constantly validates and supports her (again unless offline she’s the polar opposite which i can’t imagine). the only way to keep those type of people in your life is to adjust your expectations of accountability/emotional support to 0. they’ll never give you the support you need unless it benefits them. they are energy vampires for people who actually have empathy. anyway i’m waiting for my signed copy & have been listening to it on audio and i love love love it bob 🤍i can tell you worked immensely hard on this but i knew you would kill it. this is going to be a nyt best seller. im excited for your author era bc i dont think this will be the last.

I didn’t end up getting charged or taken to a station maybe because I was young but it was too much for my witchy ass stealing a candle .
