Listen I’m obviously not on Arietty’s side, everyone was being unreasonable towards Jewels completely. But to explain her POV I think 1. She went after Onya I think? Onya is obviously projected to do well so she’ll be a tough act to follow, especially for someone not confident in comedy. 2. Jewels put herself after Arietty, and most girls on the show put themselves behind someone they think will do poorly so that they’ll score extra points for bringing the room up, and their jokes will look funnier in comparison. As such, Jewels is essentially trying to bank off of Arriety doing poorly, which is how the game works, but I can see how that can be hurtful for your friend to essentially be hoping that you fail so that they can do better. Also of note is that this “betrayal” comes after the Betsey Johnson challenge where Jewels didn’t pick Arriety to get to pick her outfit theme like she anticipated, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Arriety at that point felt like Jewels was out to sabotage her or was actively vying for her downfall.

Arrietty didn't articulate it well, but Jewels basically told her that she thinks Arrietty is bad at comedy challenges with her placement. She was saying a friend wouldn't put herself in the spot behind Arietty because that means (according to Arietty) that Julez is basically endorsing the fact that Arietty will be bad and not showing faith in her. That's MAYBE something to be a TINY bit upset about at FIRST (Julez also says that she gets her perspective), but its something where you talk to Julez and squash immediately and realize that's not necessarily the case. I have seen 0 people endorse the Arietty/Love perspective because honestly this was so wild. 4. Susie definitely came off as " I'm smarter than you" / annoying at first but the fact that Onya made a joke and Suzie said "damn Onya called me out" made me think she's more in the realm of kidding/was using it maybe more as a tactic. The Nerve and Toot show needs to be a thing because I really like them together. 5. Another thing I read that someone can clock me on, that this did actually impact all the girls' friendships pretty heavily and apparently the group chat was silent for a while, but now it's "all good". I'll try to find that source I read. 6. I'm also here for the Onya/Lexi relationship developing (that may be at the end of untucked so I won't say much about it actually)
