If you’re looking to dive into the world of Wicked more. Be ready for movie and musical disappoint; I was hoping Fiyero was going to be a black man with Sapphires all over his body as described in the book and I was hoping we’d see how Elpheba correctly acquires her familiar, Chistory at a party at Fanny’s (played by Bowen Yang, Galinda’s friend). There is so much more juicy details they could have added from the book but when you’re picking up Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert, pick up a copy of Wicked.

So much more in depth, and Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship develops in such a better way too. The musical also completely butchers Fiyero’s character! The musical just simplifies everything in a kindaaaa childish way imo 😭😩

So in theory, they would either have to have Cynthia use an American accent or every person in Oz and munchkin land would have to use a British accent.
