❤️ Shoutout to the second caller struggling with fostering/maintaining friendships that don’t revolve around alcohol. ❤️ It is really tough! I haven’t quite found a rhythm with it myself. It definitely helped explaining to friends why I was making this change. It stopped a bit of the smaller things like people offering me drinks or “are you sure you don’t want another one?” etc… which makes it easier to hang out.

If the person who is trying to stop drinking sees this— tell your friends you aren’t drinking and if they aren’t ok with that, they aren’t your friends. Get used to drinking sparkling water at bars, no one will know it’s not vodka soda. And you’re doing the right thing, from one chronic illness haver to another. Stopping drinking was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Did anyone else learn the minute rule for offering unsolicited advice to strangers? Ie if they can fix it in under a minute tell them if not don’t. Like if someone has something in their teeth or their skirt is tucked up in the back tell them. I would also want to know if I had a rip exposing my underwear that I couldn’t see so I could cover it; even if i couldn’t fix it. So I get what Bob is saying. But I also agree with Monet, we shouldn’t confront people with our opinions of how they should dress or accessorize differently. Santino should shut up with his no drag knowledge mouth 😘
