So I think the overlap disaster that led to the strictness of festivals is when Lou Reed went on too late at Lollapalooza and it caused the folk group Band of Horses to still be twanging way like 100 yards from the stage where Perry Farrell himself, who started the festival, was coming down from a helicopter. I was there and it was hilarious and it caused a feud between *squints* Band of Horses and Jane’s Addiction.

Friends who used to work those parties weren’t allowed to use the bathrooms on her property and had to drive down to the nearest gas station to go to do so.
