This is me. I only have 1 memory before age 6. And then most memories between age 6 to 11 are only there because I was able to keep referencing them thru pictures. I always felt like something was wrong with me & my bad memory π

2023-06-28 02:51:11 +0000 UTCmost people have some sort of infantile amnesia where they don't remember anything up until ages 2-4! but sometimes it goes up to older ages like 6-7. there are different reasons for why some people only have memories after an older age but most of the time it's because they've just faded (and also monet has said before that she has a bad memory). just wanted to share bc i'm a developmental psychologist and i study this topic :)

Iβve read that super early childhood memories are associated with advanced language capability. Like Bob, I was often told I spoke like an adult and I was an early reader, so it tracks I think!
