Toile: Knee Pleat Sweatpants
Added 2025-01-11 08:10:36 +0000 UTCThis is difficult for me to sew because it is knit fabric. Moreover, the fabric is very flimsy. The drape looks awful - you can't even see the pleat. I should get thicker knit fabric next time. This fabric is fine as a simple toile but not when I sew many details like in this one.
I originally used 4 cm depth elastic waistband, but the patterns do not have enough room for it. So, I have to trim the elastic depth to 3 cm. An important lesson for me to make extra space for the elastic next time.
Somehow the side pocket opening measures only 11 cm after sewing even though I draft a 13 cm pocket opening excluding the seam allowances. I still can't figure out what I did wrong.
