Long Parka

Garment reference: This unknown parka from a show.
Bodice: Kershaw basic upper body sloper (p40) ** I have the 1st edition, 2nd edition may have different page no.
Sleeve: Kershaw basic sleeve sloper (p42)
Garment enlargement and instruction for hood based on Kershaw parka chapter (p302).
Fabric: Woven. I use cotton twill.
Not shown in video: A lot. Cuff detail. Front zipper. Buttons. Drawstring and aglet. Waist casing. Pockets. Hem shaping. I also insert pleats into the elbow and dart at the hood. Topstitch and puckering. If you are a serious beginner, you don't need to learn about these early on. By the time you are confident making the basic stuff, you will already know how to do the rest, probably better than me. You can always inspect the file or find better videos.
Notes:
- For the aglet of the drawstring, I initially use trim but somehow its UV always messed up after I reopen the file. So, I change to fabric instead. Downside is that it is not as pretty. It is also less stable and like to jump around during simulation.
- I spent a whole day trying to open the front as in the pic but to no avail. This is the current limitation of the simulation. I did upload the open front version of the garment, but the drape is not as good as in the pic. If you really want to open the front, I suggest opening it early before you go into detailing.
