SOPA Uniform
Added 2023-08-22 12:38:11 +0000 UTCGarment reference: School of Performing Arts Seoul uniform. The video only show how i draft the blazer. The actual outfit consist consist of shirt, star-print tie, knit vest, and navy pants.
Bodice: Injoo et al men jacket. From my observation, this is not really a blazer or suit, but a princess style double-breasted jacket.
Sleeve: Injoo et al formal two-piece sleeve
Collar: Injoo et al napolean collar. This a simple collar to make but many patternmaking books do not specifically show how to make it. Also called 'burberry' collar, probably because you see them on Burberry trenchcoat.
Not shown in video: Sleeve belts, shoulder epaulet, welt pocket, and those dark bands outlining the lapel and front opening. I added another fabric layer at collar pieces and front patterns. I also eliminate the lower section of front princess stylelines, incorporating the dart into sideseam. These are not recorded because it requires a lot of trial-and-error experimentation. If you are a beginner, just focus on getting the basic block right. When you are confident creating the basic shape, you will automatically know how to do the rest, or at least can experiment. Fabric: Woven. I used wool texture but change the physical properties to simulation default.
Note:
- Because of the many layers and complexity of the outfit, it will be difficult to simulate into other poses. Simulate only if your computer can handle it. Utilize tools like freeze, solidify, pin etc. You can also pose the basic garment first, then add the details later.
