Maps Monday - Hobgoblin Camp

One of the goblins got away, so how knows what it warned up ahead. It was unavoidable anyway. Nothing has been too alarming yet. Looks like a bit more organized of a camp, must be something with some intelligence. Wait... what's that in the corner? An ambush? They're not very stealthy. That'll be to your advantage, you don't want to wander into a Hobgoblin ambush. Even the hobgoblin won't put up much a fight, but they keep trying to move towards the back stairs, not to run but to block your path? Well-- that's where you'll go next. But... wait.

Crows began to fly from a massive hole in the ceiling, perching around the room before a horrible guttural growling noise echoed from up above. The room began to shake as the walls began to coat with slime, the doll that was found began to cry out, its head spinning around rapidly. Then a torrent of crows erupted forth, spiraling around the room like a tornado before their path constricted until it was tightly swirling around the hole as a deformed shadow emerged. A massive eye leered from within the swirling crows before suddenly the crows dissolved into shadows and beams of light erupted from within. The darkness was shattered, spiraling outwards as the creature inside was revealed. Eight long tendrils with eyeballs, a massive tooth-filled mouth, paired with a tremendous-sized eye all gave credence that unlike before, there was a powerful enemy before them, a Beholder. Its eye quickly scanned the room, noticing the fallen Hobgoblins as the eye reddened, dilating while a rage-filled expression shone to the group. The Beholder roared out demanding to know what the group did to them and sending out blasts from its eyes at various parts of the room, roaring for them to flee as they did not belong. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!! RUN, RUN SO I CAN TASTE YOUR FEAR! RUN SO I CAN EXTINGUISH YOUR HOPE FOR ESCAPE!!!"
