Maps Monday - Larnwick
Added 2024-07-22 18:00:11 +0000 UTCEach Monday I'm going to make an effort to post one of the maps I've created over years of DMing. Some are certainly better quality than others, but each fills another piece of the world I've created alongside my players.
Larnwick: Deep within the Brakens sits the remains of the town known as Larnwick. After the cataclysm shook Krynn, these swamps appeared and began to expand from the South Eastern fork of the Vingaard River. Larnwick was once a thriving dock town situated on the river, but the damage the cataclysm wrought sent swamp lands out to conquer the calm waters. It took centuries for the Brakens to reach Larnwick, but that was not the only thing hiding in wait. Though presenting himself as a friend at first, a Daergar Dwarf named Urminar had secreted away to the edge of the encroaching swamp and began to stimulate the growth of the Brakens to facilitate the proper environment for his passion project... Hydra. With his masterpiece, Uzkesh, he planned to breed the most perfect Hydra with which he could ransom any nation he wanted. One fateful day, Larnwick would be the ultimate test-- but also come at a terrible price for not only those who remained in Larnwick, but to Uzkesh and Urminar as well. Reachable from the Southern edge of the Vingaard River via Riverwall Warf, no one who has set out for Larnwick since its destruction has ever returned from within the Brakens.
