Loved this. I think Bob delivered better because it was a gradual build up of emotion and he managed to dip just far enough into the desperation in a couple spots. Viola had to build up to hysterics to get the right emotional breakdown she needed to cry. Monet went in from the onset with like a crying accent thrown on the delivery, and it was just too much same energy throughout.

We read Fences in 8th grade and then went to watch it performed on stage. I distinctly remember that the Disney Channel sequel to "That's So Raven" titled "Corey in the House" had just premiered. Why would I remember that? Because in one very dramatic scene in Fences, Troy is looking for his son Cory to go beat him, and he shouts "Where's Cory? Cory in the house?" and despite my best attempts, I let out a short guffaw that I'm still embarrassed about to this day.
