This went from "The one where we're nice" to "The one where we see who's the nicest for the longest" reaaaaal quick. And Monet OBJECTIVELY got more penalties and "red flags" than Bob and I think that says it all. #TeamTDQ

First of all, in the DRIVING EPISODE, Monet did not START out saying "Check your local laws 😇" - she only said that after Bob corrected her. THEN she leaned in with "Check your local laws" - SECOND, I live in Michigan, (so Monet can't say it's a southern thing) and I had to go to court for driving on a suspended license. When my name was called, I was told to pay $450. I said "So I can go get $450 and come back and pay?" And the judge pointed to my boyfriend and said "HE can go get $450. If he returns before 6pm, you'll be released." And I said "Released?" And the bailiff came up from behind me and cuffed my 19 year old ass. If my boyfriend had returned AFTER 6pm I would have been transported from the holding cell in the court to the local jail. Luckily, he came back within a couple of hours and I was released. I was put in jail because I didn't have money. They CAN and DO arrest you for not having money. LOVE YOU BOTH EVEN WHEN MONET IS WRONG AND STRONG. 💓

Long time Patreon and I think this is my first post. I think.... Here is my 2¢ on this sweater gate. I believe it is possible that they are both correct. We have two people with opportunities for emotional growth. Monét is correct that when you give a gift there ought to be no strings attached. And I believe her when she says that does not hold that expectation of Bob. It can also be genuine that Bob is hurt about the sweater. It would be a sign of emotional maturity on Bob's part if she would accept that her expectations on gift-giving are not shared by Monét. Many people know the golden rule (I wont repeat it here) and not many people know the platinum rule with goes something like "Treat others they way they would like to be treated." If Monét doesn't want to wear the sweater, based on the "platinum rule" then Bob ought to really evaluate why it matters to her so much. Can she accept that on the face of it, it's not a sign of disrespect from Monét, it's just not a value that she holds and therefore doesn't really understand where this is all coming from. Alternatively, as a friend, and despite the bullying (which I accept as real and not simply as hyperbole), as a way to honor Bob's obviously hurt feelings, Monét could just wear the sweater and send a photo to Bob (if she does in fact like it as she says). I think that I, as a friend, I would recognize that a friend's feelings are hurt and want to do anything I can to make it better. Monét has that power here. Perhaps she doesn't realize that or maybe does, and is hurt about the bullying and persistence on the topic. It is my belief that a sign of great emotional maturity on Monét's part would be to put aside her pride about "in my own time" and the obvious genuine hurt over the bullying just to make Bob feel better. I would think she would want Bob to be happy. As an alternative, Monét could wear the sweater to every podcast episode for a year to totally turn it around and troll everyone. lol...
