I’m also a Pisces (Mar 14) and I, too, had a birthday party that I didn’t even really want to have but it was at a restaurant and it was so embarrassing because I had this big ass table reserved and no one showed up. girl monet, i shit you not the exact same thing happened to me. I was born and raised in Atlanta, I grew up in Marietta and Woodstock Georgia and bitch I wasn't even the new kid but my birthday is December 27th so everyone is always out of town for my birthday right. So in 3rd grade I decided to have my first birthday party that I invited friends and not just family to (big mistake lmao). I passed out the invitations and everything and had it the very first Saturday of Christmas break and the teacher reminded the class and everything about my birthday party that was going to be at the bowling alley and we bought laser tag tickets pizza and the whole shabam u know. And bitch literally only one (1) person showed up and they lowkey weren't even one of my like actual friends friends just a person in the class and they showed up 2 hours late and only stayed for 1 hour. It was the most embarrassing thing ever and I shit u not I did not have another birthday party until junior year of college for my 21st. So I feel u girl on the birthdays LOL

I’d be hurt if my BFF did this. I put a lot of thought into gifts for people I love. I think wearing it, taking a photo, it’s just about a seeing the person enjoy what you put so much heart into. And truly, that’s actually the best part of gift giving. It’s my love language for sure - not receiving but the giving of gifts. It has nothing to do with $$$$ but the energy, the thought, and love I put in. Obv, I’m not Bob and I don’t think Monet is intentionally trying to hurt Bob but this is my take.

Omg monet the exact thing happened to me. My mom made a big deal, catered food and everything. I handed out invites and my birthday was on that Saturday so I was like yes everyone will definitely come. Girl not one soul was there. I’ve never been the same since. My birthday gives me anxiety now. Also on the Monday when I got into school, they lined the rims of all the bins with my invitations.

I identified with all this and especially Ms. Martha so hard! 1. I have 2 sons now in their 30s I raised alone in Ga and I became disabled while raising them 2. Youngest cried and had drama every birthday thinking his brother was getting all the attention 3. Maybe it’s a southern thing, but the expectation is often send a picture in the gift 4. Omg my wisdom teeth removal was a NIGHTMARE too!! My face was literally double the size for 2 weeks and I had bruises ALL over my cheeks and 2 black eyes… and to top it off NO ONE TOLD ME TO RINSE THE HOLES EITHER and they started to smell and HURRT. I went back to the doctor to see what was wrong and the nurses recognized my name, and told me that apparently mine were the most impacted/ hardest to get out that any of them had ever seen.
