I can’t remember if it was this ep or a past one that Bob dogwalked cat owners ( please don’t boo me) who say their cats are like dogs...but as someone who has owned both and also would have said this until I got my “weird” cat, there are definitely some breeds that maybe are just dogs. I adopted a Japanese Bobtail mix (didn’t know it at the time besides wondering who the hell cut off a part of her tail and then slowly realizing she was born that way lmfao) and that little terror demands every bit of attention, will talk back at you like she’s slick, FUCKING LOVES WATER INCLUDING PLAYING IN IT (???), zooms around the house at all times, plays fetch and loves belly rubs. I googled and apparently this is normal for that breed 😭💀 She’d definitely love walking too but I’m keeping her ass indoors because I am not EVER getting her weird ass back if she gets lost because she’s so friendly. Meanwhile my dog (may he rest in peace in doggie heaven where he can bark at white people in flip flops whenever he pleases) loved to sleep, groom himself, and when he got tired on walks he would just flop down on the ground and have to be carried back home while I struggled to keep the shattered remnants of my dignity. Tl;dr: I am a catdog truther

Soooo, uhhhhh dog people make hella excuses for their poorly behaved dogs... particularly the smaller, yappier ones in my experience but certain breeds do tend to play rougher than others. I also can't think of any other kinda pet owner that weaponizes their pets like dog owners do. Just puttin em on chains, if even that, outside their houses to snarl and scream at passerbys on the sidewalk. Cat people don't do that, they don't behave in that way... I identify with being insecure about my weight. I used to be skinny and traditionally pretty. Since I gained weight people including family have constantly made comments about me being fat, being unrecognizable, losing my features etc. I took inspiration from Bob a couple months ago and started a keto diet with my boyfriend, and am seeing the results. But the insecurities are still there. I said all that to say people make comments so carelessly without knowing how much it can contribute to a person's insecurities.
