I just have to disagree on classifying this as an international issue and not a local one to the US, and I boil it down to the fact that the US is the biggest funder for the Israeli army (not government, army specifically); the US contributes up to almost 4 billion US dollars each year for the Israeli army and that’s money coming from the American taxpayer just like Bob and Monet. This is why as Palestinians we always want the US to get involved in this topic because they have the most control over the narrative!

Hi Bob and Monet, I apologize in advance if any of this message will come across angry or aggressive, but it might only become I'm disappointed and in fear. I'm in fear because as I write this, my aunt in Gaza received a warning to empty their house because it will be targeted by an air strike, and they (aunt, her husband, their 3 children) can only hide in their car just around the corner because all main streets are destroyed in Gaza and are being bombed as well. I am sitting here anxiously looking at my phone waiting for a call that would anyway carry heavy news, but hoping for the least heavy news: "they survived the bombing, their home is destroyed". I know this could seem like asking too much from you, but could you, please, as queer PoC, as drag queens, as activists, as just individuals, speak up about what's happening? There's so much gaslighting in the queer community and in the entertainment industry about what's happening, I know, but if there's a time to speak up it's now! You have been fearless about so many political issues that I am at this point completely baffled as to why you haven't discussed the situation yet! I know that this is a taboo topic in the entertainment industry; Indya Moore bluntly said this in one of her lives. If this is what keeps you from speaking up, then at least please just say this here on the patreon and let it go. If, on the other hand, you feel like the issue is "too complicated", or you don't know enough about it, then by all means do tell! There are plenty of activists who can give you insight, some of them part of our queer community and some of them part of the Jewish community and some of the Israeli community! We often look back in time and hear about previous genocides and ethnic cleansing events and wonder "how did no one speak up?", yet we see it happening in this very day and age and so many are still quite about it! As a queer Palestinian, I want to know at least where stand with this! My people are being killed and displaced and I feel so helpless that this, educating the queer community, is my form of activism. Please do not ignore this.

I believe the pink is from a particular antioxidant (Astaxanthin) in their diet, which when artificially replicated in farming/other settings, might be higher in that particular antioxidant. Whether it's part of a marketing tactic/ploy, not sure.

And they don’t dye it pink in the sink afterward. The dye is in the food. I used to work for a salmon buyer and when he visited the farms in Chile they would give him a wheel of paint swatches like you would get a Sherwin Williams so he could chose the meat color he wanted.
