Wasn't able to stay on for more than a few mins but I left a message! The toxicity in Fandoms is in most fandoms sadly. I will never understand how anyone could feel justified in sending someone you don't even know, hate, death threats, etc... celebrity culture in the last 30 years has really evolved into this space where people feel safe behind their keyboards, and feel like celebrities owe us something. Shows like TMZ perpetuate this kind of behavior for sure. I mean look at what happened to Britney. Every season of drag race it gets worse and worse. I don't think WOW or Ru Paul are to blame, however it is THEIR platform... so I do feel like they should do more than a tweet. I saw someone suggest they have a disclaimer in the beginning of each episode like they did for you know who. Maybe something like that might help? Sadly I doubt it. It is a problem that is bigger than dragrace.

My high school teacher in grade 12 brought in a trans man to speak with the classroom about their transition and their struggle! I am very thankful my teacher wanted to educate us on trans persons and to have had an open dialogue with such an open person. There were deff offensive/ invasive comments and questions looking back, but I am glad for the experience!
