Getting onto drag race is like getting a ticket to the the casino. You choose if you want to gamble and how much you want to put on the table. You can win big and score the jackpot, but you can also lose it all.

I really thought Tamisha was right. She’s been around for a long time, probably faced off against queens waaaaay more intimidating than Kandy. Just thinking out loud, but do you think that those in the drag community could be more honest or real with each other? A lot of people didn’t like Kandy before the season even started, but I tried to hold out my judgements because I know the bigger queens with loud personalities often get the most hate. But damn each episode I’m so put off by her personality, and I feel like the Tina/Gottmik/Kandy trio is very reminiscent of rolaskatox, the mean girls and what not. However, that’s why I’m watching this show. To be entertained and feel shit! It has no effect on my personal day to day life. I could never imagine going online and directly harassing someone. Or fighting with anyone online, it’s just bizarre.

The only thing Tamisha was wrong about was calling Kandy arrogant for being overconfident. Kandy isn't arrogant or confident. She's insecure, loud. and a bitch. Yea I said it.

The best production choice was breaking the tension of that fight by showing Tina, Mik, and Kandy running for their lives from that wasp

I mean, in untucked when Olivia suggests the girls critique each other because the judges didn't and Kandy went OFF on Elliott's personality, all "rah rah you should have gone home, rah rah i don't like you, you have no self-awareness rah!" It was quickly aired but Tamisha did say that she continued to provoked Kandy as a way to get her to leave the room, which I think was the most effective thing for that moment and an arguably smart move by Tamisha. Kandy was already upset saying she wanted to leave the room and instead of trying to get her calmed down like Gottmik and Tina, Tamisha instead just helped her leave the room in they way that made the most sense as an antagonist. Which to me shows how much control Tamisha had over the situation and that she knows exactly what to do in a confrontation. I think the situation also highlights how young Kandy as well. As another person the same age as Kandy, we talk a lot about confrontation but when it really happens we get over emotional. Had it been me I would have had the same level of emotional reaction. Tamisha just knew what to do because that's what experience that comes from age does.

I think they BOTH did the most and I am here for it. I get why Tamisha came in guns blazing though, and even Kandy cuz they both think they should've done better so they just had to share their thoughts. It's like when you're in your feels and you just word vomit, I think that's what happened. But can we just recognize how Mik and Tina were both egging Kandy like dang I know that's yall sister but wouldn't that just make things worse since they were both on the offense already so if I was Tamisha and I saw more people "against" me I'd pop off even more.

I think Tamisha did choose to express her feelings during Untucked because probably, she felt she might be going home and she just wanted to let everything out of her chest before she sashay away, like she didn't want to have regrets she wasn't able to address what she's feeling towards some girls like Kandy.

Well Tamisha did this thing where she gave a compliment and shade at the same time and I loved that! It's provoking, but also honest. And I get why she is doing it: She could either be the cancer survivor who gets all the pity because she is not in her prime, or she can be the fierce experienced queen who puts the arrogant youngster in her place. I like that she stays in control of her own narrative and I applaud it.

Its a great season with a great cast and I'm grateful for this amazing TV. Tamisha was a little provoked by Tina before saying she "didn’t like some people". It was obvious she was upset about being in the bottom and then Tina guessed the tops and bottoms. Everyone else confirmed Tina's guess was right, but for some reason Tina needed to get Tamisha to confirm too. She said something along the lines of “you’re not talking. Am I right?” to Tamisha. It's not blatantly provocative to say that, but I think Tina knew she would be getting under Tamisha's skin.

I have to say that when Tamisha started she acknowledged how well they did and then how some of the girls rubbed her the wrong way. And Tina and Mik instigated the situation, and when they saw Tamisha was about that life, they got scared and tried to play dumb when she went off

It’s not perception tho. Last week Kandys wig was busted, her makeup was bad (eyeshadow) and her under garments were showing. This week her look was alright but definitely not better than Gottmik or Utica or Rose for that matter. I think the interaction Kandy and Tamisha had in the beginning of the ep where Tamisha was little "I need to bring you down a little bit" was foreshadowing. So, calling Kandy arrogant didn't "come out of nowhere" like Tina was saying. But she's still got some fault for bringing it up the way she did. Can't blame Tamisha for feeling her feelings about Kandy though. Kandy's reaction took it to another level of drama which obviously annoyed the other girls, like Lala who was sitting there quietly stressing over lip syncing. So there's fault from both ends.

I think it was a good example of the two schools of arguing - some people get mad and start yelling incoherently, some people get mad and get mean e.g. my bf is a hothead, I pick apart everything he yells until he is steaming with rage. Since the previous untucked, Kandy had spoken aggressively and single out ONLY Elliott, even when in the previous episode her “crush” Joey was clearly forgettable in his performance and his outfit was not good at all. What we all witness was INSTANT Karma on Kandy when Tamisha opened up. Tamisha started off saying “there’s a couple of you I don’t care for, but I have to commend you on your drag, this is Dragrace..” she never ones said “I don’t like you, I don’t like you!!” The way she approached everything was very calm, it wasn’t aggressive at all. Kandy said you looking at me, and TAMISHA answered “you’re one of them, but it’s not like that”. Immediately it’s when Kandy got defensive. It’s on video. I don’t see how anyone can say Tamisha didn’t have to be so ‘raw raw’ when technically she wasn’t. All she did was standup to a bully/“lil girl”. I think Kandy is being really delusional about how she’s doing in the competition and she did need a reality check. My issue with Tamisha is sometimes that she comes off as saying she’s better/on another level thanks to her age. I do think she told Kandy the truth but her tone is what I personally didn’t like - it felt less than critique and more personal.

Miik and Tina standing up for it and saying that Tamisha was antagonizing her is giving very much white gay in distress, Elliott with 3 K's didn't even give that kind of microagression.

I've avoided sharing my opinions about this untucked because I don't want to contribute to the clutter online that is leading to Kandy getting hate and death threats, etc, but I definitely was feeling some type of way during their fight cause the way Kandy was acting reminded me a lot of some of my middle school bullies. I have a feeling that Tamisha was picking up on some of the negative vibes and shit talking that Kandy was doing to people like Elliott and she chose a time to call her out on it her negative energy. Tamisha strikes me as a very motherly caretaker type of queen and I bet she has had to defend a lot of her children over the years which is why she was so calm and ready to argue. But it was very obvious, Kandy was just huffing and puffing, “she’s delusional, insecure and bothered” like Violet said.

Not to get into The Psychology of Kandy Muse but I feel like they might have some past traumas and this is the only way they know how to defend themselves. Obviously I don't know Kandy personally but I find that people who react to confrontation the way they do, do so out of a survival instinct from past traumas. It's the only way they know how to survive these situations.

I just think it didn't land well and should've been worded differently with more context.

Like I think a lot of people would feel caught off guard if someone said a comment like that while looking specifically at them. I also picked up on Tina/Mik telling Tamisha to stop when Kandy was the one who had just threatened assault. That really irritated me, and I think Mik/Tina/Kandy are quickly becoming the mean girl clique of the season and it's really not a cute look. Kandy is coming across as a bully; everything Bob and Monet were talking about here like how Kandy knows who to pick on and who not to and she just misjudged Tamisha is classic bully behavior. I agree that no one should be sending Kandy hate and god knows we don't need another Brita Filter situation, but I do also hope that seeing herself on TV in this way is allowing Kandy to see that how she treats other people isn't cool. For me, this is Tamisha Iman's world and we're all just living in it.

Not to be mean but with peace and love I don't understand where Kandy's delusions of grandeur are coming from. All her looks have had problems or just been alright and her character in The acting challenge wasn't exactly something to be too proud of I mean she played a clown. When it comes down to it Tamisha came in a little strong but I don't blame her because I'm sick of Kandy's shit too. That being said Kandy is 100% more talented then I and I hope she learns from this.

I love Kandy and Tamisha, but I totally get where you are coming from. Tina and Gottmik bordered on microaggressions for me with their behavior. I do think that after this summer with BLM/George Floyd, the show started to take a more active approach with cyberbullying POC queens. It was definitely long overdue and too little too late. The fans, however, have been mainly coming for Kandy (not Tamisha). While I am glad, that Tamisha has this following and support, the hate for Kandy is getting out of control. It's worth noting that Kandy is Afro-Dominican and a plus size queen, and those queens often receive hate more so than their white peers. My heart breaks for black queens and other POCs because it really feels like they can't be catty, bitchy queens, which is just how queens are. Sighs, I hate it here.

Definitely a combo of the two. Tamisha was over it from the beginning of the episode, Kandy will be giving unsolicited opinions on whoever she sees as the weakest every untucked if she could. Tamisha was over it the second time and Kandy just handled it worse. Very New York, very entertainting.

The layout or editing of Untucked made Kandy look pretty hypocritical from start to finish. Kandy criticized Elliott and reprimanded her for not being self-aware only to lack self-awareness moments later when Tamisha offered her own critique of Kandy. While Tamisha’s comments toward Kandy weren’t necessarily warranted, neither were Kandy’s comments towards Elliott. When she wasn’t able to talk over Tamisha or respond with the same hostility that she did with Elliott, Kandy blew things out of proportion and ended up talking herself into an issue with Tamisha. To me, Tamisha is far less at fault than Kandy. If I had to assign blame, I’d say 85% was Kandy’s fault and 15% was Tamisha’s fault. I’m rolling with Tamisha on this one. Kandy tried it with the right one that day and Tamisha was ready. 😌

Tamisha is a legend and a veteran and the public is going to be mostly on her side regardless. It’s like going against your grandma. You just don’t do it. I think they were both in the wrong but thats what happens sometimes when the emotions are heightened, Kandy attacked and Tamisha didn't back down, even when she probably should have let it go. They clearly arent over it though because I noticed neither of them follow each other lol. I think Mik and Tina have got themselves into a Heathers type situation where they have no choice but to defend Kandy. I think that Mik was just telling Tamisha to stop following Kandy when Kandy was at that point trying to exit the situation, which I think was fair, but I also think Tamisha had every right to stand up to her because she was threatening her. It was definitely a bit of everyone, but Kandy was definitely being arrogant - I genuinely like her though, when she's calmer, and don't wish hate on her at all. Like you guys said, it is good drama for TV.

Considering they just had a conversation about BLM and then Kandy says that to Elliott out of nowhere, I wouldn’t put it past the producers to edit around anything Elliott might have said that made Kandy uncomfortable enough to say that. That could be why Kandy’s remark to Elliott seemed so random, because any context for it was cut lol

Yes! Love the drama! Kandy clearly wanted to have some kind of interaction because she was upset about not being in the top. She tried to antagonize Elliott who was not wanting to engage. And Tamisha had feelings from before, not being considered a competitor. But Kandy really showed her insecurity- all of the things she was accusing the others of doing, she was doing herself! She seems to get along by bullying others and she ran into an immoveable force in Tamisha Iman. Great tv!

I think that Tamisha was wrong for mentioning there were some people she didn't care for, but they did a good job, that wasn't necessary to say. However, like everyone was saying, Kandy can dish it but can't take it. She had no problem disrespecting Elliott, and saying read the room, but when someone else told Kandy about herself, now she wants to blow up. They both blew it out of proportion. Also, It bugs me that it looks like Kandy doesn't breathe through her nose ever in life.

To answer Monet’s question, I think both Kandy and Tamisha were in the wrong in their own ways. Tamisha was in the wrong for shading Kandy and then prodding her to her breaking point, and Kandy was wrong for escalating so fast and reacting way too harshly. Regardless of who was right or wrong, this was some GOOD ASS TV, and I hope at least one of them makes it far, because they’re both very polarizing to watch

Kandy is loud but she is entertaining and I don’t think she means to be the loudest she just IS the loudest.

I saw on Twitter that Kandy said she tried many times during the show to tell Elliot that she was being a little racist and slanging microaggressions. So maybe this is one of her attempts to teach Elliot? But it definitively did not read as some sort of intervention into Elliot’s white behaviors. As for who was in the wrong in this argument, I think it takes two to tango. I love Tamisha but I think both her and Kandy were just very emotional and it spiraled.

As Bob said Kandy says things that she should keep to herself, and she keeps coming at Elliot and Tamisha. But Elliot isn't really giving her the time of day. As Monèt said, Tamisha came in guns blazing and kept antagonising Kandy. All that being said, I love both queens and it made for great television and the best Untucked in a long long time.

I’m admittedly a little biased because I’m from the Bronx and stay loving Kandy but the entire time Kandy was popping off she reminded me of people I went to highschool with and I honestly found that, for myself, endearing. Kandy was in the wrong...PERIODT. And Tina is one those type that I just do NOT like. I could tell from the clip on the last episode when she, Kandy, and Mik were talm bout they were the "shady" crew or whateva and Elliott came over to ask about Kandy's last minute "train look" and Tina was all rolling her eyes and shit, just being very rude. But she was tryna make it seem like she asked who was in the top and bottom and then Tamisha just started talking about how she didn't like bitches...no thass not how it went. They addressed who was the top and the bottom. Then the conversation shifted and Tamisha just stated her "opinion" (much like Kandy had stated her "opinion" 5 minutes earlier in the episode about Elliott), and said that "even though I don't care for a couple of you girls because you have nasty attitudes, yall still turned it and I have to give credit where credit is due" Then Kandy was like "you talking to me??" And Tamisha told her she was "one of em". It wasn't until people co-signed and agreed with Tamisha about Kandy being arrogant, that Kandy got all defensive and started poppin' off. For some reason Kandy is under the impression that she needs to be called out when she's being arrogant in the second that it happens or else the other girls are being fake...clearly, she can't take criticism. But Tina only spoke up because Kandy is her "friend". Even though Kandy was in the wrong for poppin off in the beginning after Tamisha was very calm in giving her opinion.

I agree with Monét, both had a part to play in this. I don’t think Kandy understands what arrogant means and therefore takes it offensively. When Kandy realised that Tamisha wouldn’t back down that’s when she retreated.

I’ll preface with the fact that I LOVE Kandy AND Tamisha. I think (from what I’ve seen) that Kandy has a strong personality and is used to people backing down from her. So when she’s cornered, she comes in hot and aggressive and expects people to back down to calm the situation down. Tamisha didn’t do that, she gave it right back which caused this fight to spiral. I don’t think Tamisha was wrong for what she did, she was showing Kandy that you can’t do that to people. I do worry about how this is going to go for Kandy... like Bob said, I’m hoping this isn’t another Brita situation. I think people get bogged down in the OR instead of AND. So people will say Kandy is either charming OR a bully. The truth is more gray. A person can be both, depending on the situation. You can’t paint everyone in one shade.

I’m so happy Kandy and Tamisha are in this season together cuz they’re both so fierce, I feel like it would having been boring without them there. I agree with what you said here - yes, Tamisha threw out that comment about having people she didn’t care for but Kandy did that exact same thing to Elliott with the self-aware comment. I really hope Kandy is able to watch this back objectively and see the hypocrisy in the situation. I think Kandy would have kept “calling it out” to the other queens the rest of the season if Tamisha had backed down to her. I LIVED for Tamisha the whole time, there was a lot of hype energy in my living room whenever she called her “little girl” 😂

The first time Kandy dismissed Tamisha as a competitor it clearly bothered her the first time and she let you know it bothered her, so the second time she was less nice about it. I also don’t understand why the editing allows Kandy to be the “voice of the group.” In untucked so far you don’t really get to hear what anyone else is saying because she just bulldozes and dominates the conversation. I will always be a Tamisha stan. She has experience, she has self awareness, and also she’s grounded.

Kandy said on Twitter that what she meant by “self-awareness” is that Elliott was using micro aggressions that were offensive. If this is true, I think she should have been more direct in her approach along with the other girls speaking up about it. Not saying that it’s POC’s jobs to combat/ call out racism, but it comes across a different way if it is not direct. Also I’m with bob about Tina/Mik. I don’t think they had the right to tell Tamisha “don’t antagonize her” after Kandy had just threatened her with physical violence. I agree that Tamisha did come in hot and started the fight., But to quote Kandy “I don’t give a fuck!” Kandy, sis you clearly do by how bothered you got. Overall loved this episode/ untucked episode! This is what I’ve been needing from drag race!

The thing I loved about this fight was that mother Tamisha knows exactly how to deal with children, and that’s exactly what Kandy was being - a child. Kandy hates that Tamisha has her all figured out and that got under her skin. At the end of the day, I think that all of the members of the Dollhouse are a little arrogant and over confident, but that’s fine. They’re young and have big personalities. I just wish more people had stood up against Kandy because it was so clear she was the pot calling the kettle black in that situation. Either way, I love Kandy and Tamisha and I’m very excited for future episodes. With next week being a dancing challenge, I hope Tamisha turns it out and shuts all the other girls down.

I feel like they are trying to give Tamisha the "angry black woman" narrative and I am not here for it. Kandy goes around being aggressive and giving unasked for opinions but it's okay because she's "the dominican doll." Yes, both could have deescalated it at multiple points but i think i'm more forgiving of Tamisha because Kandy had already been rude to Elliott and not really got a reaction and then continued to do that but as Bob said, found herself confronted with someone who wouldn't allow her to just shout at her unchallenged. Yes, Tamisha didn't need to start her thing the way she did but she thought at that point she could be lip syncing for her life. A lot going on for her whereas Kandy was safe and just delusional. I enjoy Kandy and have no hate for her but what she made was trash. Granted her outfits before were good but her made outfit, you know the actual maxi challenge was trash.

I do think Tamisha came out the gate aggressive but I think Kandy is in the wrong. Especially since she has consistently been bullying people so it kind of is good that she found some resistance in Tamisha. Hopefully she'll chill out a bit in future episodes (or not because it's great TV).

Here’s my two cents. Tamisha may have been wrong for coming for the girls but let’s be honest it’s not uncommon for the girls to come for each other in untucked. Kandy definitely took it too far. Threats are not something that should be taken lightly and I do not appreciate kandys dish it but can’t take it attitude. It may have been one of the most entertaining untucks but at what cost. It was sad to see honestly. Especially when it seemed like no one held kandy accountable for her actions like they did tamisha. Additionally i do think kandy needs to humble herself a bit. Bc as we know being on RuPauls drag race, being in the top or even winning drag race does not make you a star or even mean you are the best drag queen who ever lived. It’s an honor but its not the end all be all of DRAG.

It made me really uncomfortable, I don’t enjoy that kind of over the top anger. But I did enjoy Tamisha’s absolute refusal to back down or let Kandy threaten her.

I agree with the sentiment that Kandy can dish it but can’t take it especially since she made it seem like it’s only okay to have opinions when it isn’t about her. Also what really irritated me was the sudden name calling when Kandy was storming out of the Werk Room telling Tamisha “shut the fuck up you dumb ass bitch”. I think that was just uncalled for and at that point it was no longer about defending herself but rather resorting to vulgarities. Also were Kandy’s actions and words arrogant? Probably. But even aside from that, she was being very combative, defensive, and obnoxious. I am a Hispanic gay male so I don’t want this to be a race situation because I know that those adjectives I just listed above could be triggering and misconstrued as that, but I do think it is important to note that had Kandy been a non-POC Queen coming for Tamisha or any of the POC queens in the manner that she did, it would be a much different discussion so it’s unfair for Kandy to just automatically assume that she will always be off the hook form any sort of scrutiny or taking accountability for her irrational actions.

Gottmik and Tina used Kandy as their little pawn. They let her get hype and make a fool of herself and then didn’t even help defend her. Also, Kandy is extremely disrespectful and fucking annoying.

They both were wrong. Tamisha should’ve kept it to herself, but Kandy should be able to take it since she dishes it. I think they have similar personalities but age has refined tamisha to where she will read you and go on about her day.

I wrote this on the youtube comments and hopefully I was able to convey what was in my head but I'm not sure how I would be if I were there in the moment, but looking on the outside and having time to process this situation.. If a kid were looking at me on the tv screen I CANNOT let someone shut me down like that..I must stand up for myself. Because if a young person is dealing with a similar situation I would want them to say NO You will not scare me and belittle me, I will not give you that power.

My issue is with Tina. She’s the type to throw stones and hide her hands. That’s why I’m pretty sure Tamisha said something about Tina and wanna act shocked. After rewatching untucked, Tina started that whole fight. When the tops and bottoms walked in she yelled, “ can we guess who was in the top and bottom” I feel like that is what lead to Tamisha’s statement about not liking some of the girls. After Tamisha got spicy, Tina and Mik tried to paint her as an aggressor for going off for “no reason” when all they did was “ask a simple question.”

I finally joined the Patreon just for this discussion, so smart marketing choice, Bob and Monet! Anyway, I typically don't join in on online discussions because I figure strangers online don't give a crap about my opinion, but since Bob and Monet specifically asked for folks to weigh in on who was in the wrong on this fight, here's my two cents: There seems to be a broad consensus that Tamisha was wrong to instigate the argument, but Kandy's response was way out of proportion, and I think that interpretation is valid. BUT, in my view Tamisha's comment at the beginning was the kind of "keeping it real" that I think is actually keeping it real and not just an excuse to insult someone without taking responsibility for it. I think she was trying to acknowledge that the safe folks had beat her fair and square in this challenge and that she respected them for that, even if she doesn't necessarily get along with them on a personal level. It was a sort of "I'm not gonna pretend we're all kumbaya here, but I will acknowledge that you did good work." Shady, sure, but she didn't name names until Kandy pushed her on it. Maybe it's just because I'm closer to Tamisha's age than Kandy's, but if someone I knew I didn't get along with said that to me, I think I would just be like "yeah - we don't like each other. That's fine. But I appreciate the compliment." Also, I completely agree that Kandy is not used to getting pushback and was completely caught off guard when Tamisha stood her ground. I'll be interested to see whether she keeps going after Tamisha in future episodes or whether she backs off now that she knows that Tamisha won't let her get away with it. ETA one more thing: Some of the things that Kandy said suggest to me that beyond just general insecurity, she specifically has a need to feel liked/loved by EVERYONE. The way she asked for everyone's opinion, plus her comments that "everyone says I light up the room" etc, suggests to me that despite all of her bluster, she desperately wants to believe that people like her and it is extremely painful for her to hear someone say explicitly that they do not.

Kandy was already on the edge of being in her feelings and Tamisha (knowing exactly what she was doing I will say) came in and lit the fuse to that keg, and naturally, Kandy popped off. I do think that Kandy underestimates Tamisha to the point of dismissing her though, and that's likely what also led Kandy to challenge Tamisha so hard.

I think they were both wrong to some extent but Kandy was beyond wrong on every level. Tamisha just gave her half an ounce of what Kandy had been serving the other girls and she couldn’t handle it.
