Ok, a lot to say here. I think the reason a lot of people who say Ru is cancelled still watch the show is solely for the other queens and to support the contestants. At least that's why I watch. Actually, none of my friends who are fans of the show watch for Ru anyway. Yes, he's a legend, but he's like the least interesting part of the show itself. As for his controversies? Regarding his past transphobia, as a trans person, I've accepted the apology (as awkward as it initially was on Twitter). But I still am not a huge fan of Ru, as he is pretty shady for that whole "blame it on the edit" lil gaslighty song he released. They stay editing girls (especially the POCs they love villainizing) to look worse than others. Then Ru gon pretend it's the fault of the contestants and not the choppy stitched together confessionals where the girls be switchin hair and clothes in the same sentence? That just irks me beyond belief. But yeah I stick around for the fashion mainly and to find new upcoming queens to follow.

I see the point Monet was starting to make about “cancelled culture” when he referenced Lady Gaga and the backlash she received following the release of “Joanne”. People throw out the term ‘cancelled’ for some of the stupidest shit, it makes a joke out of the term and takes away any significance of the meaning.
