I saw a Katsura Sunshine Rakugo show a few months ago in NYC and it was really great :) I was somewhat familiar with the artform (from that anime and, subsequently, some research on YouTube lol) and when I saw he had a local residency that I could get some discount tickets to I jumped on it, and I'm really glad I did. Really affable guy, definitely knows how to work an audience. After the show he invites everyone to come to the bar next door and grab a bite/drink with him--my partner and I obliged and it was fun chatting with him (though the logistics of a large fairly inebriated man in an even larger denim kimono navigating through a cramped eating establishment was uhhhhh a bit awkward).
