Hello! The black and white primer is to guide us where we are going to place the light and shadows. Also, when we have the primer in white and use saturated colors, this saturation will be more powerful than if there is a dark or black surface underneath. In some cases it doesn't matter to make this double primer, but in others it is essential. It could be done only with the black color, yes, but to help you with the light, it is better to use both.

Hello! You mean the putty? If there are holes in the miniature you have to fill it in to avoid that when you paint over it, you get a strange result.

Hi Sergio, I wonder why you need to prime with black and white when the base paint with capi technique is so thick, the paint will cover all primer graduation from white to black. So we might as well just prime with black and straight to capi base paint. What do you think?

Yes, it is part of the preparation, especially if it is greasy (because of the oil of the mold).

Hi Sergio. Do you wash your resin miniatures beforehand?

Thanks for this amazing video, Sergio! One question about your Black and White Primer. Do you take pictures to give some kind of map for your paint, or do you simply make a "mental image" of the lights and shadows? Keep up the great work! ;)

Brilliant video as usual!!! Really excited about this project as I have several black sun models that I'm too scared to start!!! All the skin to do is intimidating!!! Hopefully seeing capi bases done like this I will have the confidence to start them!!!
One question I have regarding is what do you use for gap filling? As it's more often needed on resin minis?
Thanks cant wait for the next video!!!!
