Bonus #303 - Buckley's UK Adventure (Extra Dose)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/cHw2CKn6XIc

Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and today's video is a little different, and yet still very much the same, as I make some jokes about my recent vacation and give you a tourist's perspective of Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England (or at least 3 cities and a giant rock formation). Oh, also, it's longer than a regular Bonus video! Enjoy!

Buckley takes you with him on his trip to the UK! Well, not literally... it was expensive enough for two people, never mind a whole group! Dispelling a few rumors about the safety of England (or fueling the fire of other rumors?), recommending some stand-ups, showing you some pictures... it's your aunt's holiday slides but so much better!

My sister went to London some time ago. The Brits couldn't understand why Americans thought the name PoundTown was funny. 😂

My takeaway from this is "Don't ever go to London" Which, playing Bloodborne 9 years ago already told me that anyway.

Yeah, it was a while since I've been but Japan was dirt cheap, and our dollar was still kinda weak (it was like 110 yen for $1). It'd be $2 for a Coke out of a machine instead of $4.50 Canadian for the same thing at Tesco. If the flight wasn't so expensive, I'd go there again for a vacation in a heartbeat.

Food prices in the U.K. have pretty much doubled in a year. I recently returned from Japan and couldn’t get over how cheap it was to eat there. . Actually, everything was roughly half the price of here. Brexit really screwed us.

Yeah I do want to go to Fringe some year. That'd be its own trip, I'd stay in Edinburgh for 10 days, try and get a hotel room with a small kitchen so I wouldn't have to eat every meal in a restaurant.

Adam Buckley

If you want to go to Edinburgh again I cannot recommend going during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival enough. Especially if you like standup. There are gigs everywhere and all the time. It's amazing. Busy as fuck, as it's also the most touristy time, but just act like a pissed off local and no one will bother you.
