Bonus #204 - Advice Patreon Asked For - Number Fifteen

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/R5W98D9NamU

Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day! Before we get to that, obviously if you haven't watched The Ten Worst Songs of 2023, it's been up for days, so go check it out! Also, I believe I mentioned this already, but I'm now in my "Christmas Break" schedule. There will be no video this Saturday or next Saturday, BUT I will be releasing a video on (or around) Wednesday, December 27th. ALSO, this won't affect Patreon exclusives, I'm still uploading today (as you can see) and next Tuesday. And so, let's get on with a special THREE question edition of Advice Patreon Asked For. Enjoy!

Buckley helps his audience members who are brave enough (or crazy enough) to ask HIM for help after all these years. In the 15th edition of "Advice Patreon Asked For", we hear from a person who doesn't want to hurt their elderly grandmother's feelings, a friend who feels they're being taken advantage of, and a young asexual who's having trouble finding a college girl who wants to abstain!

Yo Buckley I know you're a comedian but I really appreciate your response to # 3 - I could only imagine the jokes to come and it didn't make me want to throw my phone across the room so thanks for that. :)

Good Work Buck-Buck

Just caught up on everything from the last few weeks and about to watch the ten worst songs list, but I particularly enjoyed this. Happy holidays to you Buckley!

also - expected a hajime no ippo picture when you said "sport anime" :) I really like it, it's responsible for 50% of my motivation to do boxing

for the first one- ask her how she makes them, ask her to show you how and teach you. tell her that for the next year you're gonna make them together. And then when you get good at it- tell her its your job now and she can help. You can take the burden off her while she's still useful and happy she's helpful. And the memory of the time you spent together doing this will be priceless for both of you, even if it takes some more effort than what Buckley said here (which is still very valid). I've lost too many people dear to me before I was smart enough to do something like that, don't repeat my mistake.

Thanks so much for the advice! I really appreciate it! I figured out I'm not asexual and just on the autism spectrum, but it was still good advice in either case.

MYKLL SHER

Googled Struffoli to see what they look like and wow, they look good! I should try making those.

As someone who's legally blind and can't drive that 2nd one hits real heard. I have lots of amazing friends and family that are willing to drive me places or pick me up for get togethers. And I'm always the first person to try and give them gas money, buy them food / drinks, or say "it's okay I can get an Uber". I hate feeling like I'm taking advantage of the kindness of others.

James Leffingwell

Fuck, these issues and their solutions were surprisingly wholesome, mate. You’re not starting to get emotions on us now, are you?

Jeez… to #2… I didn’t have a car for years when I lived in the city. To see my friends in the suburbs, I would ride 2 connecting trains for 4-5 hours to see them because I couldn’t imagine inconveniencing them by having them drive ~1.5-2 hours to pick me up and drop me off just for the pleasure of my visit. Sometimes they picked up me or drove me home after and that was nice of them when it happened. What I’m saying is… if it’s all take and no give, I’d reevaluate that friendship. I would never do what’s happening to you to a friend.

Colin

The second person is being taken for a ride in more ways than one; time to cut that friend loose.

MichaelD8393 .

A person with four eyesight is asking you to drive them everywhere? I am totally blind. I can’t see anything and whenever I do hang out with a friend or family member I always take an Uber. Especially if they themselves don’t have a car.

Hannah Hakes

1.You know, for Nona, the person could get off their lazy a** and help her make them. 2. Had a friend like this too finally stopped driving them everywhere. One of the best decisions I ever made. 3. Friends are good as long as they're not having you drive them everywhere.
