Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and this one's a light, fun one I think. I wrote it a couple weeks ago, and of course since it had a reference to the actors strike... the strike ended before I could upload it! Same thing happened with the writer's strike basically. It doesn't affect the video though, if anything we might get the answer to the questions I pose in the video sooner rather than later. So, enjoy as I try and start a fight between Hot Ones and actors!
Is Buckley a drama channel now!? He's got a theory about why the guests for this "season" of Hot Ones, the very popular YouTube show where surprisingly A-list celebrities show up to eat spicy chicken wings, have been... not quite as A-list. Sure there was an actors strike, but they're still doing other podcasts and even regular late night shows, so... is Hot Ones snubbing THEM?

Some of them seem to know what it is, some will reference other celebs who were on it. Most seem to obviously be aware of the format, no one's showing up to be like "what is this?" But yes, I'm sure no one's dealing with the celebs directly.

Celebs go on Hot Ones because their publicist (or one for a specific project) tells them to go out there and shill for the latest project. The Celebs themselves probably don't have the slightest fuck what Hot Ones is. Thus without the need to go promote something, no need to arrange to go on there. Now that the strike is over I'm sure we'll see celebs start turning up again when they have projects to promote.
