Hey everyone, this weekend's video has some real 2013-level "horrible comment section" potential! It's a fun (?) look at the whole Bud Light boycott, and I think I really poke both sides of the hornet's nest on this one. Enjoy!
Buckley breaks down the Bud Light Boycott. We look at Kid Rock's target practice, Kevin Sorbo's brand confusion, that Steamroller footage that tricked both Liberals and Conservatives, and the very idea of WHY Bud Light might have wanted to work with an influencer with 10 million followers in the first place. Also, Buckley potentially gets himself in trouble for his thoughts on Dylan Mulvaney.

I won't argue that there isn't a healthy dose of "I don't like them trans people" in this, but I think a lot of it is a combination of a couple other factors too. The fact that they chose Dylan Mulvaney, like norma irizarry said above, completely separate from the trans issue. Dylan has an incredibly off-putting personality. And that a beer company that probably has a majority of right leaning customers, dove headfirst into such a contentious issue in such a prominent way. Yes, yes I know, plenty of other companies use their platform to make political statements, but there was just something about this that struck a chord with people. And yes, whether you agree or not that it should be contentious, it simply is at this point in history, at least in the US. Regarding the success of the "boycott", I know reports of the level of success vary widely depending on what source you believe. But if it is as successful as some say, I think it's because it's organic - it's not just a "boycott this company" statement by a small vocal group and then the majority of people continue to buy because they don't care about the issue enough. I think it's just a large number of people all looking at the same thing, having a negative reaction to it and just deciding on their own not to buy it. I think there's a healthy dose of peer pressure in there too, it was already not very "manly" to drink Bud Light, now here's another reason for your buddies to give you a hard time about it.

Sure she’s not like Andrew Tate but the way that she presents herself feels like she’s mocking women. It’s weird because she’s transitioning to a woman so, why would she present herself as what is basically a mockery of them? And this is coming from a woman! She’s also making a mockery of trans people who have enough to deal with. Also, like you said Buckley, she is so fucking annoying! Can she please go away!?
