Bonus #152 - Simpin' for Billionaires - Microsoft Edition (Extra Dose)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/p7xef5-yxQ4

Before we get to this week's Bonus Dose, I just want to go over my plans for the rest of December:

- I still have 2 Bonus videos to upload this month, which I'm going to release on their regular Tuesday timeslots.

- I'm not going to release videos for the next two Saturdays. They're absolute dead-zones (Christmas Eve and New Years' Eve), very few people will watch them... there's no point. So, I'm going to release one more "main channel" video this month, which is titled "5 Stories I Missed in 2022", and I'm going to release that on Wednesday, December 28th. That will be my last "official" release of 2022. I will return to my regular weekend schedule on January 7th, 2023.

In the meantime, I might also do another Q&A post here, as well as a call for more "Advice Patreon Asked For" questions (feel free to send them to me via Patreon Message) and I thought about doing a recap post this Friday with a bunch of my favorite Patreon exclusives from the past year, in case you missed some of them.

Alright, on with this week's bonus video, and this bizarre trend of people on the Internet defending Billionaires like they're hot girls they wanna bang!

During their Black Friday sales, Microsoft accidentally listed a bundle of games worth $200 for 75 cents... on the Swedish Xbox store. They caught it almost immediately, but not before a few people managed to buy the bundle... and a week later, they "took it back". Now, normal people probably think "that's lame of Microsoft, they messed up, they can afford to take the hit", but as you know, these days, people on the Internet often don't act very "normal". Buckley looks at people actually defending Microsoft, a trillion dollar company, who called the people who bought this deal "thieves".

Comments

The corporate simpin' born from that bs marketing idea (corporations wanna be "friends" ) spread by social media platforms. People started tying (using a product = like the company) or Red/Blue syndrome, like there is only 2 choices, denying others alternatives based on a popularity contest joke...

Ahhhh Microsoft - make excellent computer software but never cared for the XBox or their games. That part where he’s telling off β€œJohan” though made me laugh for a good 30 seconds though!

So when i worked at amazon we had a glitch where SD cards were sold cheap as fuck, cant remember the price but we basically ate the cost of the orders already processed and fixed it so no new orders would come, cost us like $12,000 but we easily made it back up. Microsoft could have done the same

Josue guzman

Man these people would be mad to hear of all the glitches or other stackable coupons I use.

Microsoft makes its money back from games sold on the xbox store. They take 30% of every digitally sold game.
