Hey, how about that, it's Friday... and of course, happy Memorial Day Weekend to my American friends! This is often the first weekend of the year that many go camping or plan some family barbeques, and the weather almost always decides not to cooperate. SO, if you find yourself stuck in a tent while it's pouring rain, remember that your ol' pal Buckley's got some entertainment for you (assuming you're getting any signal in the woods... or glampsite). Alright, on with this weekend's rant:
Disney was once considered the entertainment company that cared about family values and good, clean fun... but that all changed when they started supporting those THEY/THEMS! Republican politicians have recently become upset by Disney's public scrutiny of new Florida laws that forbid certain gender and orientation topics being discussed in schools, and have decided to punish them for expressing their opinions. But one of their punishments only hurts the public, while the other punishment is one that Democrats should ALSO be for! Buckley looks at the Reedy Creek decision, as well as the "Copyright Clause Restoration Act" which would see Disney lose the copyright to many of its properties much earlier, AND creates his own version of a beloved Disney property! OH BOTHER!
