Hey everyone, it's Early Access day! Here's a fun little piece of trivia: Since 2016, I've uploaded a Musical Autopsy every year in January (excluding 2019, during my hiatus). January is a great time to look back at a song from the previous year that maybe slipped my notice but is still well known, or wasn't QUITE bad enough to make the Worst Songs list but still deserves a full Autopsy, and I think this is one of those songs that kind of managed to fly under my radar or that I was too busy to talk about until now. For those of you who are like "wait, what song is this? Edamame? bbno$? That's not a name!" if you watch TikTok videos, even begrudgingly, I bet you've heard this song and just didn't know its name, and 20 seconds or so into this video you're going to go "OHHH this song!" Enjoy!
One of TikTok's biggest songs hits Buckley's cutting table in the Musical Morgue. Buckley has mentioned his dislike of rap tropes in the past, but what about rap tropes used ironically? And why does this song sound so familiar?
