Bonus #104 - Jake Paul vs Dana White (Extra Dose)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/TBE7ciF6JdY

Before we get to this week's bonus video, I wanted to share a post with you guys here that I previously shared on Twitter and Facebook, that some of you might be interested in: an infographic of some statistics for my channel last year, including number of overall views and watch hours, but also how many videos I created, how many pages and words I wrote, and some demographic info.

And now, onto this week's bonus video as I continue to chronicle the "Boxing" career of Jake Paul!

Buckley takes you through the escalating beef between UFC President Dana White and YouTuber-turned-Boxer Jake Paul, two adults calling each other names on the Internet. But does Jake have a good point about the UFC's treatment of fighters? OR should he be focused on the problems plaguing the sport he actually competes in?

Yeah I didn't mention it in the video because I didn't want to get too off-topic, but Dana's question of "what career offers that?" the answer is "the military". Now, while volunteering to fight in the UFC isn't quite the same as serving your country, the point is that the military does have the VA, from various veterans I've spoken to it's not GREAT, but it exists. The UFC could absolutely consider offering health care to "eligible fighters" (maybe at least ex champions or fighters who have had a certain number of fights in the UFC) for life, as a way of thanking them for putting their bodies on the line in a dangerous sport to entertain people. BUT, that being said, I do sort of agree with Dana on the "it's part of the gig" thing... anyone who gets into professional fighting that claims not to know about the long term risks is just lying, or has somehow managed to be the most sheltered person in history. BUT, the UFC could certainly do more to take care of the people who make it what it is.

I never thought I'd agree with Jake Paul but damn he does have some good points. They 100% should have health insurance for the rest of their lives. They should not have to sacrifice their health to make some rich fuck even richer.
