Hey everyone, can you believe we're almost at 100 Bonus videos?! And perhaps fittingly, the 100th Bonus video will be the special Worst Songs "bonus award", which will come out next Tuesday just before the full Worst Songs video comes out that Saturday. BUT, before we get to all that, enjoy this video about a strange offer I got the other day, one that might become the next big thing for YouTubers.
Almost-but-not-quite an episode of Inside the Bottle, Buckley talks about the types of offers YouTube channels are always getting as well as a completely new one: people who want to "Invest" in individual videos, giving you an "advance" basically for a percentage of the revenue over a period of time. Could this be the next big thing for YouTubers? And what OTHER ways could this be used? Buckley's got a couple ideas!

2021-12-19 00:18:41 +0000 UTCAt this point, it would be irrelevant. I'd make pennies a video just so that my rants could be interrupted by 30 seconds worth of ads every 5 minutes. Seriously, at this point one $5 Patreon subscriber is probably more valuable than an ad on a single new video, and a $1 Patreon subscriber is more valuable than an ad on a 3 week old video.
