It's Early Access Friday! This weekend's Dose is another favorite subject of mine: people doing something for attention to try and stoke the dying embers of fame one last time! Enjoy:
Indie-pop singer Grimes has reportedly split up with her baby-daddy Elon Musk, which could mean her 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end. BUT not before one last crazy publicity stunt! Grimes was photographed walking around Los Angeles reading the Communist Manifesto in a strange outfit, prompting questions about her political leanings (and overall sanity). She claims she was trolling, but trolling who, exactly? Buckley explains why people think she's a Red in the first place, looks at some of her childish behavior, AND tells you about a time she certainly DID enjoy a little socialism!

But bevare socialist for they have three paths before them, the tolerable, co-operative social democrats but then we have the more globally oriented communists and nationally oriented fascists, I am not trolling look up what Mussolini actually believed and actions, he was a socialist first who went on nationalist binge but never went "far right". Both of those are equally distasteful and if not for democratic principles neither should have any voice in society.

2021-10-15 21:26:53 +0000 UTCApparently she used to tell people that's where her stage name came from, because she was too embarrassed to tell people where it REALLY came from... the stupid story about MySpace and how she thought it was funny that, when you pick your favorite music genre, there was one called "Grime" in there, so she made her 3 favorite music genres all "Grime". Hence... Grime(s).

2021-10-15 21:03:51 +0000 UTCYeah... on one hand I'm disappointed because I didn't want the greedy, impatient complainers to ever get anything from Nintendo, but on the other hand... I do play the game, and it's a LOT of free stuff being added. I don't know if I'm interested in the DLC, but there are some pretty cool things that might get me to turn it on and play for 30 minutes a day again for a bit.
