Time to end your week with early access to this weekend's Dose! As you guys know, two of my favorite targets to mock are YouTube and YouTubers. YouTube has probably the worst customer service of any organization I've ever worked with, and they're not shy about making new policies that screw over creators without telling anyone. On the other side though, there are a lot of content creators who are very whiny or who think everything should be handed to them. I take a look at both of these things in my latest video. Enjoy!
A few months ago, YouTube somewhat quietly announced that every piece of content on YouTube is now potentially eligible to have ads on it, BUT the creators of that content may not be eligible to get a cut of the ad revenue. This is still catching YouTubers off guard. Buckley takes a look at both sides of this, as well as their cash-in policies on the new YouTube Shorts feature they so desperately want everyone to use. They say pimpin' ain't easy, but YouTube seems to have found a way to make it pretty simple for them!
