A little behind-the-scenes info about this weekend's video (and Musical Autopsies in general): I'm trying to make Musical Autopsies just under 8 minutes long (this one is 7 minutes, 59 seconds). The reason for this? I know the video is going to get 3rd Party Claimed, which means the record labels will monetize it and take all the money from it. I've made my peace with that (it's better than a copyright strike and having the video completely removed), HOWEVER YouTube also allows for mid-video ads on any video that's 8 minutes long or longer. So, if I can keep the video under 8 minutes... your viewing experience doesn't get ruined by having a mid-video ad (or two?) during the video! Of course, I'm sure YouTube's going to start allowing people to put an ad in their video every 60 seconds sooner than later, but in the meantime, let's try and get as many little wins from the system as possible!
Doc Buckley's back in the musical morgue, which is filling up faster than ever before with the increase in popularity of songs made famous on TikTok. Today on the table, Buckley looks at a song by the most popular TikTok personality, Bella Poarch, which is all about not changing yourself in order to get dudes to like you... but doesn't it send mixed messages when your whole life is about changing yourself to get likes on the Internet?
