Before we get to this weekend's video, thought I'd give you a fun (fun?) fact: It was a year ago this weekend that I released the "Coronavirus Comedy", where I showed a slide that said we had just under 4000 deaths worldwide up to that point. One year later, and... well, you know the stats. But, the vaccine's out there now, the US is doing a pretty solid job with it while Canada lags way behind, and we finally have a true light at the end of the tunnel. SO, let's make fun of the latest thing that doesn't seem to stop spreading: cancel culture (or, people who think everything is "cancel culture"). Here's the description for this week's video:
Country Music sensation Morgan Wallen got in trouble recently for yelling a racial slur in his neighborhood at 3am while his weird neighbor filmed him from across the street, causing some on the Internet to sound the "cancel culture" alarm. BUT, can "cancel culture" actually end up making someone richer?! Buckley looks at the unprecedented result of Morgan Wallen's album sales after his late night video went viral. PLUS: "cancel culture" throughout history, and a bonus rant about Gina Carano's firing from the Mandalorian, and how celebrities need to learn from every other celebrity's mistakes.
