It's Friday and it's time for your early look at this weekend's video! And what a video it is, this is one of my favorite Doses I've done in a while, featuring both a parody commercial AND me badly rapping. Here's the description, enjoy!
YouTube has taken a lot of criticism lately for how "corporatized" it's become, and how it's trying to make everything bland and boring by censoring anything that might, gasp, have swearing or be considered "adult". But did you know that the rules that result in some videos being demonetized, age restricted, or even outright taken down, don't apply to music videos? Buckley takes you through the highlights of YouTube's latest 30 page rules document.

Unfortunately every app and site is like this. I keep getting flagged for my content / photos and even just had my entire Instagram taken down for posting cosplay. But I see far worse on verified accounts. I hope your stuff never gets taken down tho which how often you're flagged

2021-02-13 16:53:53 +0000 UTCYeah, it's unfortunate but it's true, the only way sites like this can survive is on ad revenue, and the advertisers make a lot of the rules, and the ones they don't make are made by YouTube to try and keep advertisers interested. You can't have a site serving a billion views a day (I don't know the exact number) using that much bandwidth without anything to pay for it. And YouTube doesn't want to get more adult brands on board for whatever reason... so here we are.
