I hate, just, hate, those Nothing answers. Where it's so obvious they didn't think about your request at all, and probably only skimmed the email. I work in technical support, and it's stupid how often I hear "Man your tech support is the best." What difference it makes when the agent on the phone/behind the screen actually thinks about the human being on the other end. Anyway, loving the content! And I'm glad to hear you're still enjoying it. I still need to try that cupacake...

I'm encountering something similar with a Facebook page I co-admin. Yesterday afternoon, I received what frankly looked like a scam email that the page had been "removed" due to fraudulent or misleading content, or something that broke the law. It's a page for an online gaming league. We post results and screenshots. I filled out the form response as requested (aside from not being able to tell them why I thought it wasn't objectionable content...because I have no idea what made them shut down the page). The response? Basically a carbon-copy form letter of what I already know. I've asked for detail, I've sent screenshots to justify the existence of the page and the league it represents. I haven't seen a response to that. I can't say I really expect one, either. I guess we'll just remake the page and hope that we don't post something else that's deemed "fraudulent" about our free-to-play video game league.

That also gets to my pet peeve of app-only content or access. I have a Web portal I use to interact with one of my longtime customers, a freight broker. They have some admin features that are only available through the app. Well, that's wonderful. But I'd think the portal would be the fully-featured system, because if I'm doing admin stuff, chances are I'm at work. At my PC, with a keyboard. Instead, their "new technology" push means I have to set the PC aside to do something on my phone.

Fuck em Buckley. The whole of the new “technocrat” society is riddled with bullshit algorithms and things I cannot fathom. I tell google to not show me feeds from certain news sources or about certain stories all the time. Low and behold next refresh or next day, same shit.

Well, they even tell you that "if a person doesn't have the app on they may not be notified". So then what's the point? I remember I used to get an e-mail once a week that showed me new content from channels I was subscribed to, what happened to that?

Congrats! It's hard to "randomize", I don't know how others do it given the tools I'm given, but I've been doing my best to try and get some new names up on the front every month.

Oh, I'm going to bleed a few subscribers on this one as they call me a "whiner" or claim I only care about this now for whatever reason ("You sold out!") but yeah, I think it's valid and I think it's important to note that I'm mostly just asking questions. Youtube's algorithm was adjusted to slowly bleed those channels that do not make money or don't fit in with youtube's new family-friendly guidelines. It has been shown on several occasions that even the notification bell does fuck all if the channel in question does not fit into Susan's concept for the future, which seems to include a lot of purge-rinse-repeat cycles.
