Bonus #17: Chrysler Cares... About Getting Your Cash (microDOSE)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/ScbtkeEhNJg

If we all thought advertising couldn't get any more annoying, I guess we never anticipated how bad it would get during a pandemic. Apparently every company "cares" about me and "has my safety as their top priority". Did they not before? Well, Chrysler REALLY cares, they know "better days are ahead" and are offering to get you back on the road with a great deal. Except... are these deals all that great? Enjoy a fun look at how companies are reworking the exact same pricing and services they've always offered but with a fear-induced twist.

Also, thank you to "Dr. Panda" who recommended that I put the video link in the body of the text, so if you're reading this via e-mail you should now be able to watch the video without having to go to Patreon first.

Well I definitely miss the 'we are all one' mentality from the early pandemic. That went right out the window dinnit it.

The commercials from all the billion dollar companies were one of the worst things about the pandemic.

Cuntface Chrysler must be the Canadian equivalent of Big Bill Hell's Cars, though probably more polite.

Jeff Brown

Ha ha ha ha! Your ads are the best! Man, if only they had a Cuntface Chrysler by me. Good stuff.

Start shitting in the same place you draw your water from, and you'll have reintroduced yersinia pestis in no time.

It’s these kinds of commercials and attitude that make you wish Covid acted more like the bubonic plague. Maybe humanity will be better off if half or one third of the population disappeared....

They've cancelled our fall fair that normally happens in September. I think people definitely have a right to be skeptical about that, basically anyone who's mentioning the pandemic in their sales pitch, they're really doing a worse job for themselves at this point... like the one visual gag I had in this video about Tim Horton's caring about my health... you're a food service company, you should have ALWAYS cared about my health! It should have been your number one priority at all times, not just now! But now that no one's spending money you REALLY care about it? Piss right off.

Everyone's afraid to be funny right now, especially when it comes to ads. "Oh now's not the time to be funny". Now's the most important time to be funny. Give people back a sense of normalcy. We're like 3 months into this shit, no one needs to be reminded that every time someone sniffs in your vicinity you're 2 weeks from being on a ventilator (not likely of course, but that's the level of worry some people are at), ads don't need to tell everyone that these are "difficult times". We all still need shit, sell us your shit and just don't be a complete asshole about it, and no one will care.

Where I live we have the NY state fair and a couple of the usual business that make lots of money at the fair are opening drive thru’s together with the message that they are “spreading cheer during these hard times” I wish they would just be honest and say “yeah we are trying to make money cause the fair will probably be cancelled” is overcharging people for fried dough and wine slushies really that admirable?

Every single tv add sounds exactly the same, you think having the “funny “ adds would make them stand out more.
