As September is already here, it's time for another monthly update for the PP Filter!
Here's what's changed.
Exposure has been decreased.
Contrast is less intense at low sun-angles.
Sunlight is now more intense as when the Sun is rising or setting down, making mornings and sunsets visually more dramatic.
Nights are brighter with ambient light being more apparent but not distracting.
Ambient light at day time for all cloudy weathers is toned down, but increased at dawn/dusk to match the brightness of the clouds better to the brightness of the ground.
Lots of tweaks have been made to tonemapping for the game to have even more clarity and visual detail and depth.
Bloom and glare are overall stronger.
Bloom and glare appear more, as they have a lower threshold.
Sun and moon sizes changed (sun smaller, moon bigger). Also new visually intense star shapes for the Sun.
Brightness for all cloud textures has been reworked to be less bright/overblown.
Contrast reworked for all cloud textures at all times of day.
Clouds are aimed to now blend in more with the rest of the environment/background.
CPL has been altered to be even more focused where you’re looking the metal at, and is a little stronger overall.
Iridescence, or “rainbow” effect on glass ( most noticeable on head-and taillights ) has been added to the filter.
Basically it gives AC the effect, that your eyes see in real-life, in darker scenarios/night time, everything seems to look less saturated than in lit up spots. Making ourfilter even more dynamic at all times.
These are the bigger changes for September, but there's also a lot more smaller changes, that didn't get mentioned. As always, enjoy the new update!
