Hiatus

Hey guys,

I’ve got a few too many things going on in my life. It’s finally caught up with me.

I spent the last few days in the hospital. Shingles, brought on by too much stress. My vision is blurry out of one eye. The MRI said it’s because the sheath around my optic nerve is inflamed. They had to drip anti-virals right into my bloodstream.

I’m recovering at home now. It feels good to sleep in my own bed. My eyesight is getting better every day. There’s a very good chance I’ll recover fully.

But there are a few too many things going on. Y’all know I write several stories a month for this Patreon. I also work during the day, perform on stage at night, fit in time for my husband and my dog and my friends and my side-piece and… and… and…

I also work on political campaigns. My current one will be my last, but there’s still well over a year to go. I feel honour-bound to finish it, and that means I need to free up some room in my life so that I don’t drown in the stress.

I’ll be performing on stage less. Pausing a few hobbies. And, sadly, putting this Patreon on the back burner.

I love writing stories for y’all, but I just don’t have it in me right now.

I’ve always had this page setup so that you don’t get charged if I don’t write stories – you can stay subscribed and you won’t get charged a cent unless I publish something.

I might end up writing a story here and there. I might not write a word until after the election. In the meantime, the archive will remain available.

Whatever happens, I’m planning to be back in November 2024. I hope you’ll all still be here.
