Episode 187: History of Dance (Vampire)

I would absolutely love if you did the rest of the series! I've really enjoyed the read through of this book and have picked up a copy of the second one so I could read along

god. the part where you two are talking about edward in midnight sun thinking about breaking up with bella just kept making me think of [OPENING TO NEW MOON]. and i said 'man if they ever read new moon it's gonna be like. -500 from the start.' and then liz hit me HERE with the -500. fucking bury edward hell yes. anyway, i am SO EXCITED for you two to watch twilight!!! it is such a genuinely cute and funny movie, stewart and pattinson are SO fuckin fun and misanthropic. stewart gives such a good miserable gay kid vibe that its like 'yeah i get it, you're gay and the best option is having a vampire boyfriend, not bad.' jacob is SO FUCKIN CUTE in twilight too. they have taylor lautner with cute long hair and it makes me so sad they make it short in new moon. bella and jacob have adorable interactions, and the truck is sooo fucking good. god i love it. it's such a cute movie and i'm so excited ... for y'all to see the part where bella first meets edward's family. i know xeecee will love it. god. twilight is so good and catherine hardwick knows SO WELL what made the book appealing, and then new moon onward chucks it ALL off a cliff. i actually do think with twilight the movie alone, edward would have AT LEAST 0 boyfriend points. please do a boyfriend points talley on solely the movie, because its cute. :') its such a fun movie. i do also agree with other folx mentioning the rest of the books would be great to hear about in the future. i know you two definitely have plans and thoughts for what next, but even though there's no 'companion novel' for the next three, the context of midnight sun will make them feel even more insane. i feel like much of the most noted concerns about racism start in book 2, and a lot of the most intense domestic abuse apologism starts in book 3. and book 4 i feel like is where most of the ... weird mormonism/mom stress comes out (and many other things). but i feel like the books as they go on do maintain bella as a very interesting and active person, even if that 'action' can be very self-destructive! she feels like a genuine teenager, and while people call book 2 boring, i find it /fascinating/ the way meyer navigates depression and self-harm in such a weird way. i'm actually looking through summaries of eclipse again and Jesus Fucking Christ. there's so much i blocked out of my mind. also bella has to get yellow graduation robes.
