May Plots & Plans
Added 2023-05-07 05:38:42 +0000 UTCSince the April Plots & Plans update: April was about painted & ink-less battlemap experiments... a style I rather like and am going to continue exploring. We had 2 new map releases in that style, the Mystery Pool and the Lakeside campsite.
And where are we now?
- The 4th GeoCity set (roads on 2 opposite sides) is finished and ready to export and upload
- There is a third 25x25 painted battlemap: Puddles after Rain - snippet in the header image. It is ready to port to Photoshop for final editing and export.
- The giant, 60x60 Mountain Pass battlemap is finished inking stage and is in colouring stage (see below). Landscape level so far. Fort gate later...
- The 5th Geocity set (roads on 1 side only) is begun with 2 tiles completed so far(see Patreon-only 'bonus maps' channel on discord)
- Next weekend I will be in my next housesit and have access to endless electricity for the first time since late March. I will be there for 4 weeks and will be able to finish off and post the tile set & maps that are nearly ready to rumble, as well as catch up on so much that has had to be put on hold for the last 5 weeks. Until then, we will have to wait out the endless rain and cloudy skies here that have my solar panels grumbling and are preventing me adding enough charge to my laptop. Such is life :-)
In more random news... I did find a few interesting walks to take my old boots on in the early part of April... when it wasn't raining!
Then the last couple of weeks have been spent mostly sleeping and coughing. Happily, that time is over and I am looking forward to house-siting and using newly re-discovered energy in going for walks with Oli - a 10 year old Shitsu who loooooves walking and knows all the best walking trails around where he lives :-)
