Otsutan Stage 2 _ Cursed Swamps

Otsutan Part 1, posted a couple weeks back, was set in the times before the cursed swamps when all was light and the forest was filled with music. 

Since that time, some fool cut down the Great Heart Oak and released a curse that created the Upwelling and an influx of swamps throughout the area. The Thorp of Otsutan was abandoned, a long row of barrier stones were installed to keep the curse contained and travelers started to take the previously minor road in the NW. 

The strangest part of the whole thing is what happened to the 6 houses that were previously sited in Otsutan ... Their ghostly forms have been seen roaming around the swamp-lands. Some say they have become some sort of mimic, or perhaps were-houses... Others say they are insubstantial ghosts but may be tameable & solidified for use as traveling shops & mobile storehouses. 

Whatever the truth is, it is considered foolhardy to venture past the barrier stones

Part 3 ... There might be another addition to the timeline in a little while... for those who decide cure the curse. I just need to sink all those swamps away, clean up a bit of debris and maybe 're-build' Otsutan.
