互いの肩に顎を噛ませて廻しを引きつけ合い、がっぷり四つになる。全身に力を込めて相手を土俵から一気に押し出そうとするが、力が拮抗する。密着し、ジリジリとせめぎ合う2人の身体はやがて土俵の中央でピタリと動かなくなった。
