Hourglass Suit - Getting Close

Hi all,

Here is the latest version of the hourglass/spacetime suit, and I think it's getting pretty close to done. As always, I'd love to hear any thoughts or feedback.

First up are the court cards, including the newest cards the clock tower and omega:

I still need to clean up the placement of some of the sand so it doesn't overlap with the gold at the bottom of the hourglass.

For the number cards, I decided to boost the card numbers to 120, instead of 100 (as in the second edition). This opened up the deck for a few other more popular games (such as 6 Nimmt), and helped sync things up with the dice ranks better.

Here are a sampling of the number cards:

and an animation of all of the number cards showing the sand falling to 0:

What's up with the little markers near the top and bottom of the hourglass?

This is where I'd like some specific feedback. The goal of these cards has always been to create broad multipurpose decks, as opposed to cluttering things with a bunch icons for specific games that end up being worse than the sum of their parts.

That said, some of the most well-regarded games using 100+ card decks are The Game, The Mind, and 6 Nimmt (If you have any other favorites, let me know). The cards for 6 Nimmt each have a point value of 1, 2 , 3, 5, or 7 on them. The point values have a rationality for which cards are worth what, but asking players to do some arithmetic during the game to figure out how many points each card is worth is a bit much to ask. My hope was to include the point values, with the caveat that I wanted them to be integrated into the design and not be distracting.

For example the 20 card is worth 3 points, therefore the gold accent at the top of the hourglass is broken into 3 sections:

While the 77 card is worth 5:

Before I refine things too much I wanted to get feedback on this.

Let me know what you think about the idea of including the 6 Nimmt point values in the poll on this post. Of course if you have any specific feedback about any other the cards, please leave a comment.

There are a few other games that use similar but different point values for cards. When I post the multideck maker layouts and assets for the Hourglass suit, I will include these point values (and some additional options) such that folks can customize the deck as preferred.

Also for reference here are some differences from the second edition version:

The third edition includes number cards up to 120, instead of just up to 100 as in the second edition.

The third edition of the hourglass suit, includes all of the same court cards that are found in the other suits, where as the second edition only included the Death/Grim Reaper card.

The Third edition has dice ranks, instead of the roman numerals (I - V) found in the second. I felt having better parity between all of the suits was better.

The third edition removes the alternative rank symbol found in the second edition. This was a perhaps clever way to add ranks 0 - 1, and 1 - 2, to every card, however it didn't really add much game-wise.
