Singularity Deck Third Edition Card Back

I'm excited to show off what I have in mind for the Singularity Deck third edition card back.

First of all, a bit of history of how the card back has evolved over each edition:

First edition card back:

Second edition card back:

The main change between the first and second editions was the  orientation of the earth and some small other clean ups.

New third edition card back:

Obviously the third edition back is a much larger update compared to the differences between the first and second versions, which begs the question "why the big change?"

My thinking was two fold. First, I felt the old design clashed a bit with the updated art. A major goal for this newest edition was the get the aesthetics of the deck consistent across the whole deck. The second edition evolved over a period of about two years as I published new suits over time, which led to some stylistic differences, both as my design chops improved and I solidified my idea for what I wanted everything to look like. For the third edition I started with a much clearer set of design constraints to help dictate the style and keep it consistent.

Here's some examples of how the look has evolved across the editions:

Secondly, long-term I plan to publish some of the awesome suit ideas patrons have suggested (such as wood, fire, etc.). I felt this new back design would compliment a wider variety of suit icons.

The new design is close to final. I may have a few more tweaks. That said, if you have any thoughts though I'd love to hear them.

Just like the first and second editions of the deck the card back will be released into the public domain so folks can use it to create their own cards compatible with the Singularity Deck. As usual, all of the card back designs will be available in the Multideck Maker folder on the Patreon drive, so anyone can mix and match the art as they see fit to make their perfect deck of cards.
