Quick update on neoprene Gipf boards and what is coming up for the Singularity Deck

Hi All!

My test print of a neoprene Gipf board from Printerstudio still seems stuck somewhere in shipping. I went ahead and uploaded the neoprene versions of the board to the drive, but expect a more in depth post as soon as the test print shows up.

In the drive (Singularity Boards ->Ultimate Gipf Board) you will find 3 versions:

22" by 22" version for Printerstudio's cloth bandannas.

20" by 20" version for Inked Gaming's neoprene game mats.

18" by 18" version for Printerstudio's neoprene game mats.

The 22 inch version is the main one that has been available for awhile. I've gotten a test print of the 20 inch Inked gaming version and it looks great. The 18 inch version I'm still waiting on the test print for. The dimensions on the 18 inch version just barely work out in theory, so I'm excited to see how the test print turns out. Another cool thing about the printerstudio neoprene boards is that they can be printed double sided which opens up some cool possibilities. Like I said I'll give a full break down as soon as I have all the boards in hand.

Looking toward the next few months I'm going to be refocusing my attention on the Singularity Deck. I'll have a full post detailing what I'm envisioning later, but for now here is a bit of the gist.  I'm working on creating NanDeck ( http://www.nand.it/nandeck/ ) templates that will make it as easy as possible for people to configure/customize the Singularity Deck to help them make their own "ultimate deck" that can be printed either at home or through printing services like Drive Thru Cards. Nandeck is free, but can have a bit of a learning curve. With the templates however, folks only need to modify a spreadsheet to change the color of a suit, add text to a card, insert their own images, make new ranks, have multiple suits (like  Sugoi Desu Yo Ne suggested), and just about anything else people can imagine. I'm pretty excited about it because it allows me to create new icons, art and features that people can use to quickly create a deck of cards that matches exactly what they want. I've also designed some new suit icons for the "classical elements" as suggested by Joe Sterling.

Best,

Matthew
