Personality:

Excitable, enthusiastic, and outgoing, Sakura is the living embodiment of a puppy. An… oversized puppy, that is. Her sheer size and the sight of her big teeth put a lot of people off, and with Goliaths being stigmatized as human-looking “monster”, Sakura is often treated as if she were a ticking bomb. And in some ways, she is. But she tries to bear it all with a grin and a shrug.

Backstory:

Sakura is an orphan who has no idea who her birth parents or family are outside of a ratty note and a locket she can’t open. She’s spent most of her childhood being kept at some backwater orphanage with no real hopes of finding a family.

"She's too big", they'd say. "Too strong; she'll break the door of it's hinges." "Look at those teeth; ain’t long before she bites someone." "You know how those… things are! She nearly lost control! I saw it, I-I had to protect myself!"

Eventually she grew tired of being treated like an animal and fled the orphanage first chance she got; not like they tried very hard to find her. As an oversized, underfed teenager, she took care of herself by doing odd jobs for whomever gave her the time of day, which eventually lead her to the small town the story takes place in.

Sakura now takes the days one at a time. She has stable income as the town's school groundskeeper, still does odd jobs that takes advantage of her strength, but her real dream lies in joining the Slayer’s Guild. She plans on making a change in how others see her; she's not a danger, she's a protector.

How coincidental, then, that monsters slowly begin to become a larger threat as of late.
