Landscape Sketchbook: 1

One of my goals for this year is to paint landscapes more, both digitally and traditionally, so I've challenged myself to do 1-hour sketches of whatever landscape I come across at least once a month.
It's largely just to give myself something to paint where I don't have to think so hard to do so; just paint what I see. I also have the idea to offer them in my newsletters as free wallpapers, and perhaps small cheap prints just to give some variety to my store, as well as something more neutral to the possible wider audience.
More than that, though? I just love painting landscapes. They're very relaxing to me; I find that I don't stress about how it looks since it's more an impression of the image than an accurate representation. I also really enjoy playing with the shapes and colors.

Oh shit, thank you so much! ;w; I'd say give it an honest go and try not to worry too much about how realistic or accurate it looks. I more focus on the colors and the shapes myself and I've found that takes a lot of the perfection tendencies away from the work; it makes it way more fun. :> If you do feel free to show me what you did! I'd love to see it π
